Information we store

SortKeeper stores your shop domain, encrypted Shopify credentials, product identifiers, titles and tags, inventory availability, collection order, sorting rules and low-stock observation times, subscription entitlement, and store-level operational events. We use these to provide sorting, saved-order restoration, troubleshooting, and billing access.

We do not request customer or order records. We do not sell store data or use it for advertising. Shopify and our Laravel Cloud hosting provider process the data needed to provide this service.

Email alerts

If you opt in to failure and order-change alerts, we store your chosen email address encrypted and record its verification and notification preferences. Our email provider processes that address and message to deliver verification and operational alerts. We do not use this address for marketing. You can turn alerts off in the app or through an alert’s unsubscribe link; doing so removes the address from the active app database. Uninstalling also disables alerts and removes the address. Existing encrypted backups follow the retention period below.

Support requests

If you use the in-app support form, we store the request category, subject, message, status, and an optional encrypted reply address. A copy is sent to our support inbox so we can investigate and respond. The app shows your five latest requests and any response recorded for your store. Closed requests are removed after 180 days; uninstalling removes them through the same store-data deletion process described below. Do not include passwords, access tokens, or customer information in a request.

Retention and deletion

Sorting history and operational events are retained for 30 days. Your current saved order and latest undoable change remain available while SortKeeper is installed. Credentials are removed on uninstall, and remaining app records are removed by our daily cleanup within 72 hours, or earlier when Shopify’s shop-redaction request is processed. Encrypted database backups are retained for 7 days. Restored backups must replay deletions before service resumes.

Customer privacy webhooks are authenticated and acknowledged; no customer records are retained from their payloads. Support correspondence sent outside the embedded form is handled by the support provider.

Website analytics

On this public website, optional Google Analytics measures page visits and interactions such as opening Shopify admin, using the sample sorting demo, contacting support, and watching the app video. It loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”; advertising features are disabled. We omit URL query strings, fragments, shop identifiers, and email addresses from the events we configure. Google also receives device and connection information needed to process these events. Your choice is remembered in this browser for 180 days and can be changed through “Analytics preferences” at the bottom of the page. The embedded Shopify app does not load this website tracker. The Shopify App Store listing uses Shopify’s separate analytics integration.
